Kazakhstan's trade turnover with Ukraine has grown to a billion-dollar.
For the first time in 4 years, trade turnover increased from $767.9 million to one billion in 2021. Turnover is still lower than in the years before the pandemic.

More than half of the trade turnover in 2021 is export, from Kazakhstan and this is more than 56%, of the total turnover.
The main share of exports to Ukraine fell on the mining sector: 223 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers, 792 tons of coal, 12.7 tons of zinc, 14.8 tons of ferroalloys.
The main share of imports from Ukraine fell on meat 19 thousand tons, medicines 879 tons, 9.7 tons of paper and cardboard, 3.2 tons of equipment for agriculture.

The gross inflow of direct investments from Ukraine to Kazakhstan in January-September 2021 amounted to $ 1.7 million - 6.5 times more than in January-September 2020, although still 2.5 times less than in the same period of the "pre-coronavirus" 2019. In turn, Kazakhstani investors have also been investing much more in the Ukrainian economy in recent years. So, in January-September 2021, the gross outflow of direct investments from Kazakhstan to Ukraine amounted to $ 8.1 million, for the same period in 2020 - only $ 3.5 million.
